RAP Cultural (Art) Tax grant should warm up their pens! Application forms will be available on-line at summitcounty.org beginning Tuesday, September 7th. The deadline is Friday, October 8, 2010.
The application provides an outline of the specific criteria, eligibility requirements and the process which the Advisory Committee uses.
The Summit County Recreation, Arts and Park Tax (RAP) granting program distributes revenues generated from a 1/10th of 1% sales tax in Summit County. The distribution of the tax is 55% for Cultural Programs and 45% towards Recreational Programs.

		  <description><![CDATA[serving 2010-09-03 through 2010-09-09<br><br>AMENDING THE EASTERN SUMMIT COUNTY GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, the current Eastern Summit County General Plan was adopted in 1996; and
WHEREAS, the plan was intended to be updated every two to five years in
order to remain current with changing conditions; and
WHEREAS, the Eastern Summit County Planning Commission held four town hall
meetings, 12 work sessions, and seven public hearings to review the Mission
Statement, Goals, and Objectives of the 1996 General Plan; and
WHEREAS, on February 3, 2010 the Eastern Summit County Planning Commission
voted unanimously (6-0) to forward the proposed amendments to the Mission
Statement, Goals, and Objectives to the Summit County Council, pursuant to
the powers and duties assigned in 11-7-5 (B) of the Eastern Summit County
Development Code, and pursuant to 17-27a-403 of the Utah State Code; and
WHEREAS, the Summit County Council held a public hearing on the proposed
amendment to the Eastern Summit County General Plan on March 10, 2010 and a
work session with the Eastern Summit County Planning Commission on June 9,
2010 to discuss the proposed amendments, and the feedback from those
meetings has been reflected in the proposed amendments.
NOW THEREFORE, the County Legislative Body of the County of Summit, the
State of Utah, hereby ordains the following:
Section 1. Eastern Summit County General Plan
The Eastern Summit County General Plan is amended, as depicted in Exhibit A
of the Staff report dated August 19, 2010.
Section 2. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the date of its
publication.

This project is funded (or partially funded) through a Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). The Contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws; including payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and compliance with Section 3 to provide employment opportunities for lower income persons. Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected.
CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the office of Gilson Engineering, 12401 South 450 East, Bldg. C-2, Draper, Utah.
Copies of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be obtained from the office of Gilson Engineering for nonrefundable payment of $40.00 for each set, made payable to Gilson Engineering. Delivery may be arranged to Utah areas north of Salt Lake County by phoning 801-571-9414.
Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Cashier's Check in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid price, drawn payable to the order of the Town of Henefer.
All Bids submitted shall be in conformance with the Instructions to Bidders which are included in the Contract Documents; and shall be guaranteed by the Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of Bid opening.
The Town of Henefer hereby reserves the right to reject any or all bids presented, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make award or refuse to make award in the interest of the City.
