BLM Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Monitoring Wells

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Moab Field Office is seeking public comments on an environmental assessment (EA) analyzing Lisbon Valley Mining Company LLC\'s proposal to modify its existing copper mining exploration plan to facilitate future exploration. The EA includes a description of the proposal, mitigation and reclamation measures, and an analysis of potential resource impacts of drilling 11 groundwater monitoring wells.
The EA available for review online at BLM\'s ePlanning website, Written comments will be accepted from August 8, 2017 through September 6, 2017. Comments may be submitted online through the NEPA ePlanning website,, or mailed to BLM Moab Field Office, 82 East Dogwood, Moab, UT 84532.
