Ute Indian Housing Authority Invitation for Bids For Rehabilitation of 1 Home 17-ICDBG1- 1702 17 – ICDBG1 – 1702 Randlett, Utah
The Ute Indian Housing Authority (UIHA), hereafter referred to as “Owner”, Fort Duchesne, Utah is seeking bids from qualified contractors to perform rehabilitation work on one (1) home located in Randlett, Utah.
The work shall consist of performing rehabilitation work on the exterior and interior of the home as identified by the “Owner”. All work will be done in accordance with IRC, State, and local building codes. Interested contractors can contact the housing authority office for a detailed scope of work, house addresses, and dates for home visits. Bidders are required to inspect the units that are to be worked on and to satisfy themselves with all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of performance of the contract to the extent such information is reasonably obtainable. All Bidders are also required to complete the Bid Documents as instructed, failure to do so will result in a non-responsive bid and will be disqualified. Failure to inspect the site will result in the bid being deemed non-responsive and will not constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.
Indian Preference: Contractors claiming Indian Preference must submit proof of enrollment with an Indian tribe as defined in the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act (NAHASDA) of 1996 and provide proof of at least 51% Indian ownership of their firm. Indian Preference application forms are available from the Owner.
Contractors will be required to be registered with the Ute Indian TERO, have a tribal business license, and obtain Access Permits prior to submitting bids. These documents along with required insurance information are required to be submitted as part of the bid. If any of the documents are not submitted with the bid, the bid will be considered non-responsive. All sealed bids will be opened at 11:00 am on August 11, 2017 at the business office for the Ute Indian Housing Authority. Bids that are mailed must be received before the bid opening time and date. Bids received after that time and date will not be accepted. The Bid envelope must be marked “Do Not Open Bid Enclosed” and have the Bidders name and address on the upper left corner of the envelope.
