Pressurized Irrigation Notice to All Residents
The Payson City Water Department is in the process of ensuring that the Pressurized Irrigation system is operational for the 2017 season. Weather permitting, pressurized irrigation water will be turned on sometime on or before May 1st.
Here are a few things you should know:
Once the P.I. system is turned on, it takes up to a week for all residents to have water in their pipes.
Make sure your main P. I. valve is turned off now so when the water does make it to your house it doesn’t flood your yard.
Watering Days Have Changed!
Please adhere to the following regulations:
Residents with odd numbered addresses (last # of address) shall water on
Monday, Wednesday, & Friday.
Residents with even numbered addresses (last # of address) shall water on
Tuesday, Thursday, & Saturday.
Absolutely no watering on Sunday as this allows the system to recover)
Shorten watering times to about 15 to 20 minutes
The most effective times to irrigate are during the evenings and mornings when temperatures are cooler. Therefore, residents are asked to refrain from watering between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
Payson City and other larger water users will be scheduled to use the water during the daytime hours in order to reserve as much pressure as possible for the residents.
In the past we have had violations to the water regulations. Payson City will be stricter in enforcing the regulations. Enforcement will ensure that we have water to last through the irrigation season.
You can find additional information and regulations on our web site at www.paysonutah.org. Your cooperation in adhering to these requirements is greatly appreciated.
