Santaquin City Public Works Facilities Project

Santaquin City Public Works Facilities Project
Santaquin City is seeking to hire a qualified and motivated firm to provide engineering design services for the detailed design of a new booster pump station with related facilities and appurtenances (Project) located at approximately 1100 South Canyon Road, Santaquin, Utah. The Project will include: a new booster pump station building, pumping systems, electrical and mechanical systems, fenced yard (with gates), site improvements, including; a parking area, asphalt drive, drive access, concrete flat work, limited landscaping, etc.
It is the intent of Santaquin City to utilize existing City property/land to meet all of the needs of this Project described herein. The primary objective of this Project is to create a fully functional, efficient, safe and secure Booster Pump Station and related facilities for the Santaquin City Public Works department. See Appendix B below for a concept site plan.
Santaquin City expects that the Project will meet a relatively high standard for energy efficiency and will utilize sustainable building principles, as much as is practicable. The Project should reflect creative design, while still closely matching existing City facilities (i.e. Santaquin City’s East Side Well House).
It is expected/anticipated that the new pumps for the Project will be ordered by Santaquin City after the Project design is complete but prior to the contractor bidding and selection process. It is also expected/anticipated that the new pumps will then be provided to the selected Contractor for inclusion into the construction of the Project.
No geotechnical study has been performed for this Project. It is not anticipated that a geotechnical report will be conducted/needed for this Project.
Santaquin City will administer the design, funding, construction, maintenance and operation of the Project. It is not anticipated that construction engineering will be utilized as part of this Project.
