RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be received at the Tremonton City Office, 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah; until 10:00 a.m. on March 21, 2017, for the 2017 STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECTS.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of pulverizing, regrading, and paving approximately 61,715 sy of asphalt roadway including lowering and raising manholes & valves, and stabilizing soft spots in the roadway.

LOCATION OF THE WORK: The work is located on the following roads and alleyways throughout Tremonton City: Tremont Street from Main Street to 600 South, on 1000 North from 1000 West to I-15 NB on ramp, on 400 West from Main Street to 300 North, on 800 North from 100 West to 300 East, on 600 North from 300 East to 1000 West, on 100 South from 100 West to 200 West, and alleyways: on 50 South from Tremont Street to 100 East, on 50 East from Main Street to 100 South, on 50 North from Tremonton Street to 50 East, on 50 East from 100 North to 50 North, on 50 South from 100 West to 200 West and on 100 South from 1600 East to 1650 East.

COMPLETION OF THE WORK: All work covered by the contract documents shall be completed within 45 calendar days following Notice to Proceed. The Notice to Proceed will not be given until after the project is awarded at the first City Council Meeting in July 2017

OPENING OF BIDS: The bids will be publicly opened at 10:00 a.m. on March 21, 2017 at the Tremonton City Office located at 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah.

OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents, including Drawings and Technical Specifications, may be obtained at the office of the Engineer; Jones and Associates, 1716 East 5600 South, South Ogden, Utah; and at the Tremonton City Office, 102 South Tremont Street, Tremonton, Utah; or on the website upon application and payment of a $40.00 non-refundable fee.

BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier\'s check or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price payable to TREMONTON CITY CORPORATION as a guarantee that the bidder, if his bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Contract, secure payment of worker\'s compensation insurance and furnish a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) of the contract price.

WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: The project will be awarded at the first City Council meeting in July 2017. Bidder\'s shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period is stated in and does not restrict the proposal guarantee.
PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any \"or equal\" products be considered for approval prior to award of contract.

OWNER\'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive an informality in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the Owner.
