Separate sealed bids for construction of Thompson Special Service District Culinary Water Improvements Project Tank Rehabilitation will be received by Thompson Special Service District from bidders.
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 3:00 PM on June 28, 2012 at Thompson Springs Fire Department, 101 Firehouse Lane Thompson, Utah 84540.
The work to be performed under this project shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment required to construct the facilities and features called for by the Contract Documents and as shown on the Drawings.
This project consists of rehabilitation of two steel water storage tanks approximately 24’ in diameter and 20’ tall, removal of existing interior coating, and installation of a new interior coating; this will include surface preparation in accordance with coating manufacture’s recommendations, repair of any degraded substrate, and installation of a new coating. The project will also include the replacement of a gate valve at the tank site.
This project is funded by Utah Division of Drinking Water.
Plans and specifications have been prepared by Sunrise Engineering, Inc. and will be available after June 13, 2012 at their office at 25 East 500 North Fillmore, Utah 84631, telephone (435) 743-6151, upon receipt of $40 for each set (non-refundable). The Engineer for this Contract will be Sunrise Engineering, Incorporated and they will be represented by Robert W. Worley, P.E. as Project Engineer.
No pre-bid tour will be held.
The Owner may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all Bids.
