MAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS WATERLINE PROJECT VERNAL CITY
Sealed bids for MAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS WATERLINE PROJECT will be received by the Owner, Vernal City Corporation, at its office located at 374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah 84078 until 10:00 a.m., local time, on March 5, 2012. Bids sent by mail shall be addressed to Vernal City Corporation, 374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah 84078 , and shall be labeled \"Bid for MAIN STREET INTERSECTIONS WATERLINE PROJECT \".
The project includes the replacement of approximately 650 feet of water line. The new water lines will consist of both 8\" and 10\" pipe. As part of the project existing service connections will be tied into the new water line and five main line tie-ins will be made. The project will include working in both vernal city and state highways.
The Project is located approximately 170 miles east of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Copies of the Project Manual, including the Bidding Requirements and proposed Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of Engineering Services, Inc, 2028 West 500 North, (P.O. Box 1485), Vernal, Utah 84078, Telephone (435) 781-2550, upon payment of $50.00 for each set. Return of the manuals is not required, and the amount paid for the manual is non-refundable. Persons wishing to obtain copies of the manuals shall furnish their street and mailing addresses for delivery of documents and addenda.
Each bid shall be correctly prepared and submitted on the prescribed Bid Form with required attachments, and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders payable to the Owner in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the full contract price.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time, on February 29, 2012 , at the Vernal City Offices located at 374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which bid is, in the Owner\'s judgment, the lowest responsive bid of a bidder or group of bidders. The Owner also reserves the right to waive any informalities in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein.
Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered. Except as provided in the Instructions to Bidders, no bidder may withdraw his bid after the time established for receiving bids or before the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days.
Bidders must be licensed in the State of Utah for an amount equal to or greater than the amount of their bid and for the type of work required, at the time of bidding and throughout the period of the contract.
Bidders on this work must comply with all applicable governmental and local agency requirements.
